yes hello internets. 15 weeks and no interneting. internet can basically be any part of speech you want.
i do read other peoples' journals at times. i really like reading the portuguese folk's journals for their abbreviated and slang language. it is like a puzzle to figure out. i also like to hear about moped repair, as it sends me back to my high school days.
anywho, my little apartment is turning into quite the fun center. i just picked up another arcade machine. say hello to 720. skate or die!

well hello again everybody,
i purchased a tron arcade machine from a guy in reno nevada. it was less than six hundred miles each way so i decided to cruise down a pick it up. well the drive down there was smooth. on the way back on the small mountain highway between susanville and shasta, the snow began to fall. and as is always the case it fell thicker and heavier as the road went up. there were no cars coming in the opposite direction, and in hind site that should have been an important sign. but anyhow, i pressed on as the snow got deeper and deeper. then slip and pow, the van slides off the road into a snowy ditch. the tron machine remained safely fastened, but the car was stuck. one mountain dweller stopped and we tried to pull it out with his four wheel drive and some chains- no luck. i then caught a 15 ride in the other direction and got a hold of a proper tow truck at a chevron. after a snowy few hours, we got the van back on the road and continued slowly on through the heavy snow.
anyhow, it was a freezing cold stressful ordeal. but i am pleased to say the machine is now in my room and working amazingly well.

well hello. the summer really ends in a hurry up here in portland. it never fails to alarm me year after year. one day you are shooting baskets at 9:30 at night and sleeping on top of the covers, then pow! its all scarves and cold hands.
the kickball season is going like totally full blast.
my team is fine. they are not really people i would pal around with but they don't bring me down.
1. lots of people are working out some serious issues from the respective childhoods. they will not be pushed around and intimidated this time! no sir.
2. with the ultra hipster crowd, competitiveness is only cool in the "ironic" sports. athletic excellence is still quite uncool, but some pretty uncoordinated people are getting pretty worked up and aggressive out there.
3. there is one cute gal on the team. all manner of dudes are all over her like stink on a monkey. from meathead jocks to oily hair over educated pbr hipsters and everthing in between are trying to rub up on her is some vain attempt to find out which dude is her type. it is like a weird science experiment. i think she might quit the team, its gotta be kind of lame.
4. again people, it is called kickball not BUNTball! i will continue to kick it as long as my leg is able to swing freely.

well this recent binge of journal posting seems to be completely about adult kickball. the first game was last night and a few observations about said game will be contained herein.
1. so i had a pretty extreme headache all day. at any rate i took 5 excedrin migraine while i rested after work. while it did very little to help the brain explosion, it totally wrecked my stomach and nerves. so i was kind of dizzy, confused and barfy the whole time.
2. i was able to just kind of hangout with the more co-ed portion of the team. so it was pleasant in that way.
3. apparently there are a whole bunch of rules that of which i was completely unaware. there are literally 8 pages of rules. i will get the cliff note version before the next game.
4. folks take their kickball seriously. a bit too seriously for me.
all in all is was actually kind of fun. the meathead teammates were too busy trying to impress the ladies with their kickball prowess to bring me down.

well hello. i am back in santa barbara california. my father is getting divorced and he needs me to get him an attorney. more importantly, i have a few jobs lined up for the next month. for some reason it is much easier to get $50 an hour from santa barbarians than it is to get $25 an hour from the pale overweight people of portland oregon. so i plan to make hay while the sun is shining here in california. if things work out, i may spend the winter months here, or perhaps in cabo san lucas. maybe i wont go back to oregon.

well i leave california tomorrow. swimming in the ocean has been enjoyable, but i have some work to get back to in portland.
sunday was my brothers wedding. there were all sorts of seemingly genuine italians there. it was kind of like good fellas or the god father.
it was all and all a pretty ok affair. i didnt have to play any music. the whole event was way too talky for me to gently rock the place, so i just ate and shook hands with people that i will never see again.
BEWARE!

well my plan to discover the source of the enthusiasm at the mountain goats concert has been thwarted. my plan to attend the nicolai dunger concert for comparison has been torn asunder by my brother's wedding. as it happens, he is getting married the day after the concert and i believe flying the day of the wedding would raise familial ire. so i guess my brother will only be getting married once this year, and i should do my best to be there on time. and furthermore, i hear from him today that he has already knocked the lady friend up and he wants me to play some songs for the assembled families. i am not sure how i feel about the idea, but i said "ok whatever dude".
the weather is finally getting warm.
